I'm a group owner, and I can't find the answer to this in Yahoo Groups help.

  1. We want to do it because of problems with members deleting a post and then posting the same thing again and sometimes bypassing our no posting the same thing within 7 days.  It would help us keep track of those types of posts.

    *co mod of said group*

  2. the only way to prevent this is to close the archives to members which in turn would affect web readers.

Yahoo gives the poster this option, since it is their post they more or less own it, not the group owner.

there is no feature to prevent this other than closing the access to the archives

  3. no u can not do so

  4. Why would you WANT to? I'd have to say "NO" on that one, as it allows someone to retract something mis-stated or said in haste.
