  1. why not? find somewhere dark and watch the show.

  2. Of course! Meteor showers are typically visible from around the world but there are a few things to be aware of. For any given meteor shower, certain places on Earth are "favored". The best place to be during a meteor shower is the spot on Earth that is facing the direction the Earth is traveling in its orbit around the Sun. It's kind of like driving in a car through an area with a lot of flying bugs. The front of the car is going to have much more contact with the bugs than any other part of the car. If you're in this spot (it'll vary for each meteor shower and with each occurence of each meteor shower) while the Earth is traveling through the lane of left over comet dust (after all, that's what causes meteor showers, the Earth traveling through the remains of a comet's tail), that's ideal. It also helps when the moon is "new" (the moon is not up). For this particular perseid meteor shower, the moon sets around 2am, which is usually right about the time meteor showers tend to peak. If you can stay up late enough and you're not under a lot of light pollution, you should get a decent show.

  3. All you need is a clear, dark sky...  it should be visible just about everywhere on Earth.
