In other words, if the shoe is worn out on one side of the box, will it affect my balance? Is it time for new shoes?

  1. I don´t like ballet, they make our feet look like hobbit´s feet

  2. definitely. which side of the box is worn out though? if it's the inside, you might not need new shoes, but if it's the outside like where your pinky toe is, then either switch which the feet you put your shoes on or get new shoes.

The reason it is bad if the box is worn down on your pinky  toe side is because it may cause you to sickle your foot, or lean while you're on pointe, which might cause you to be off balance, and that may result in injury.

you should also consider the support you're getting. if you feel that it isn't enough, then definitely get new shoes. don't risk the injury

  3. This exact problem happened to me last year. I had labeled my shoes and wore them only on the foot that I labeled them to. Well after a while my shoes started to look wierd and asked my teacher is my box was broken. I had worn out one side of the platform and she said to try switching the shoes. It was really hard to balance then.

So the bottom line is that I reccomend getting a new pair of pointe shoes whenever that happens.
