Can weebles get into unopened boxes of cereal?

The cereal is barely past its expiration date, however, I have seen a couple of the weebles in the house. They were not near the food, and it's been a little while since I have seen them. Should I junk the cereal or would it be safe?

  1. It's possible, best to keep cereals 6 inches away from the floor and 6 inches away from the wall in a preventative measure for this. Also keep in a well-lighted room, with a temperature ranging between 50-70F. If there are weevils in your cereal you're gonna have to toss it out, it's unsanitary now. If ingested, E. coli infection and other various diseases can be contracted from weevils, depending on their diet.

  2. if you have not opened the cereal. you should be able to push on the bag with both hands to see if its sealed. know what i mean. if there is a small hole in your sac of cereal, it may have been infiltrated

  3. Yes, and the word is "weevles".They are very common in "flour" stored in the cupboard for a long time......... Good luck on this one. x*x

  4. Weebles are badass dudes. No matter how drunk they get, they never fall down!!!!!!

  5. You bet they can...they can burrow right into it and personally I think they come in the package!
