  1. yes, they just wouldn't have much light if any to create chloryphyll with...which is food, so they would die soon after sprouting.

with a little light, there is more of a chance to survive.

Good luck w/ finding ur answer!

  2. No they need light for photosynthesis..Indoors is even more crucial as far as light and light loving plants..I keep my plants under growing lights for 16 hours a day....Mine are all legal though.. I start vegetable seeds in doors for resale ....

  3. yes

  4. Yes.  All plants, not just weeds need warmth and moisture to start growing.

That's why when planting seeds, we put them under the soil surface, not on top.

To survive however, all plants need light and if they can't break through the surface (ie they are too far down when the seed germinates) they will eventually die.

  5. i give mine at least 5 hours a day

  6. Yes, plants grow in the dark, but they grow better in a windowsill in the sunlight.

  7. Thats like asking if wolves can hunt without limbs.

If you don't understand the simple concept of photosynthesis...go back to grade 8 science and let the grown ups make your drugs for you.
