  1. Nope, their throats are too small, basically

    Plus, they only eat plankton.

  2. they are not meant to eat anything bigger than microscopic plankton, so thier throats are actually small.

  3. See, I just don't believe this whole thing about the throats of the great whales being so small that they couldn't possibly swallow a man.

The mysticetes (the ones that eat plankton) get a huge mouthful of plankton. I'm talking hundreds and hundreds of pounds of the stuff in one mouthful. They have to, they need to eat that much. So – what – people think they can only swallow a handful of plankton at a time? I bet not! It just doesn't sound right.

I reckon that if there was a seagull or a penguin or a seal or a human unlucky enough to be caught up in that mouthful of plankton the whale just caught, then they'd go down the gullet with the rest of it.

  4. Killer whale maybe ?

  5. No there is something about a gullet in the whales throat that is not made to swallow humans whole. I believe that the only thing that might come close is a sperm whale but I think that is under a different category as a regualr whale but I could be mistaken, they are found with huge squid inside of them.
