Because he had a head shot on a (slow) moving target? Or is that considered a somewhat easy feat?

  1. LOL, I could have made that shot when I was 10 years old.  I got two blue ribbons for shooting when I was in the third grade.  I fired expert in the Marines.  That isn't that tough of a shot especially when the target is driving toward or away from you and all of the bullets hit either from the front or back.

"God has a hard on for Marines, because we kill everything we see"

Quote from the movie "Full Metal Jacket"

  2. He was a Marine Riflemen

    simple as that.

  3. All Marines are trained to be excellent riflemen, officer or enlisted. Some are better than others. The same question could be asked of postal workers, or high school students with an agenda. If you want to be good at something to prove a point, self motovation is a powerful thing.

  4. Lee Harvey Oswald could not be considered as a master sniper.  Only two of his three shots hit his target.

  5. No. Because he hit the wrong target. The other man in the car is the one who approved Lee Harvey Oswald's undesirable discharge from the Marine Corps Reserve in absentia. He was former Secretary of the Navy John Connally who was the Governor of Texas at the time that President Kennedy was killed.

  6. to the experience shooter, I'd say that's easy enough.  The act in itself doesn't consider oswald an expert shooter.  It was his target that managed such a title for the b*****d.

  7. NO a Master sniper only needs one shot not 3.  Lee harvey Oswald needed 3 shots to do in the President. He would be considered a marksmen. It should also be of note that Oswald was a Marine Marksmen When he was in the Marines. This was  good shooting for a marksmen but not quite sniper quality. He definitely had promise in that field if he had stayed in the Marines.

  8. Most any experienced rifleman can hit a moving man sized target going as slow as Kennedy's car was moving at the distance the shot was taken.

  9. Its not easy and no he cannot be considered an expert sniper they're is more to being a sniper than just shooting. He was a basic Marine Corps rifleman if i remember correcly!
