Can winRAR open .msi files??????

i think you cant.Why would you want to?

To find files with a .msi extension;

Go to Start/Find/Files or folders.

Type *.msi in the 'Named' window

i think no...msi files are programs and not compressed files

.msi files are like .exe files. It will run as normal, not needing any program to open it.

Yes, Windows can open it directly because your computer should have Windows Installer on it, which is capable of opening .msi files and installing the software contained within.

Unpacking a .msi file does not necessarily help you install it, because it might only show you the files and not the directory structure and installation locations, for example.

However, some antivirus software does not have the capability to search inside .msi files, so if you are concerned you should unpack .msi files before installing them and scan the files inside.

To do this, you can use any of a number of freely available tools. Search "unpack .msi file" or something similar on Google.
