  1. After extraction you have to keep the gauge pad for appox 1-2 hours and after that it should be removed because by that time bleeding stops and blood clot forms. This blood clot covers the extraction wound and helps in healing. You should take care not to disturb this clot and should follow the post op instuctions given by dentist. For do's and don'ts after extraction, you can check the following link.

They have also the facility of free dental consultation from dentist where you can post your question and it will be answered by dentist.

  2. Mine did, I didn't need stitches or gauze

  3. yeah u will just have blood pouring out your mouth for days..and it will take allot longer to stop bleeding

  4. Yes.

After the bleeding stops you will no longer need gauze pads.

  5. Generally you leave the gauze pad in place until the bleeding stops. I had one pulled today. The first piece of gauze stayed in 20 minutes, with me biting down on it. When I went to change it it was pretty bloody. I put in another and after 20 minutes there was very little blood, so I didn't put in another. It should be left uncovered, unless your dentist told you otherwise. My dentist gave me a list of do's and don'ts. Did you get that?
