From dealing with rudeness from females at school and on the internet, it has implied to me that women sometimes bring it on themselves to cause misogyny.

Can women be the cause of misogny at times? How often do you hear women being the cause mysogyny and gender discrimination towards them?

  1. You not only have no idea how to spell or write, you have no idea what misogyny means. Hating some women for a specific reason based on their actions, has nothing to do with hating all women regardless of individuality. Furthermore I strongly suspect that what you call the "cause" of misogyny is nothing more than a woman responding to your hamfisted come ons negatively.

  2. This is the new form of "she was asking for it", I suppose.

  3. If you're going and blaming an entire gender for the rudeness of a handful of women, that's no one's fault but your own. If you've encountered some impolite women in school or on the internet, it's because those people in particular are a******s. It's NOT because they're just acting out on some sort of biologically-encoded rudeness. If you encountered a rude man, I'm willing to bet good money that you'd ascribe it to some factor other than his gender. If you'd examine the behavior of men in greater detail than just leaving it as a gender-only issue, why can't you do it for women? Assuming it's just female behavior is very, very lazy logic.

There is no excuse for judging all women because one person is rude to you, and she happens to be a woman. Not only is that sexist, it's also illogical. You might want to reconsider your stance on this issue. Victim blaming isn't very reasonable and won't get you very far.

  4. Blaming over half the human race for the actions of some individuals is idiotic.

No, that some, uh, ****** was ******-like is NOT MY fault. I don't control the behavior of every other female on the planet.

Sometime too stupid to realize that all women are not the same woman is going to make up lies and believe them, no matter how they are treated.

Is every male responsible for the rapes committed by the very few?

Women do not cause misogyny; misogynists do.

  5. People order the world around them from two different sources, education and experience

Mysogynists are either taght by thier society and parents to be sexist

Or they have had significant negative interaction with women which has left them distrusting or hating women as a whole

  6. Yes, in fact they are the cause of ALL negativity in this planet.

They deserve all the hatred since they are the ones who brought it upon themselves.

  7. "From dealing with rudeness from females at school and on the internet, it has implied to me that women sometimes bring it on themselves to cause misogyny."

No. Sorry. Just like black people don't "bring racism on themselves" or robbery victims didn't "ask for it." Stop trying to justify the unjustifiable.

Hate the actions of individuals if you must, but hating an entire group based on the actions of a few is bigotry.

For instance, if I thought all men were rambling psychos because of @xn's posts, I'd be a bigot. Instead, I just think @xn himself is a rambling psycho. See the difference?

  8. Men should never blame all womankind for the transgressions of a few women.  If they do, they are ignorant fools.

That being said, the greatest evil a woman can commit against her own gender is not supporting her gender and contributing to the stereotypes.  This is not to say a woman can't be a lovely housewife, but she shouldn't go around telling every other woman that she must too.

  9. I find it hard to believe that women could the cause of misogyny. The very thought I find absurd.

If a girl is rude to you, she's just rude. It doesn't mean all girls are rude and it most certainly does NOT justify misogyny.

I have never heard of women being the cause of misogyny since there is no excuse for it as far as I am concerned.

  10. No misogynist can make a valid claim that women are the cause of misogyny, since women are not a homogeneous group AT ALL, and most of the generalizations that misogynists make about them are false.  Even if a man has met 10 women he has disliked, doesn't mean that all women are like that...it just means he's been unlucky in terms of the women he's met.

  11. Absolutely.

The same way misogynists can cause a woman to fear men.

Anyone who tells you different is lying.

Also, it can be a self-fulfilled prophecy. If you hate women or men, you will notice their flaws much more easily, justifying, in your mind, your fears.

  12. Yes, part of the misogny perpetrated can be linked to women's bad behavor.  But some fellows just need an excuse to justify their own hatred

  13. I am hesitant to blame any kind of bigotry on anyone other than the person who is bigoted. Most rational people understand that the actions of one person (or even several) are no excuse to judge an entire group of people.

Think of it this way. Let's say that I am mugged by a guy who happens to be black. Would it be reasonable for me to hate ALL black people because of the actions that one man took? I don't think it would be. One of my best friends is also a black man, so why (for instance) should I hold it against him that someone else did something horrible to me?

Likewise, it isn't right or even logical to hate all women because a few have treated you poorly. The only reasonable way to judge anyone is as an individual. Not all women are the same, just as not all men are, or white people, or black people, or any other group. If someone can't understand that, or can't control their emotions well enough to deal with it, then that person is the one who has a problem.
