Hi there,

I am a bit of a newbie so my question is.... Can women wear mens snowboard boots? And if so, do they have to be combined with mens snowboard bindings? Or can it be mixed and matched. Please help.

  1. Well the name of the game in fitting any shoe is comfort.  So snowboard boots you want to be snug but not uncomfortable.  Men's or women's boots, it doesn't matter, as long as they are comfortable when you are riding.  As for the bindings, bindings are universal and will fit with just about any boot unless you wear like a size 15 shoe with a kids binding, I don't think that'd fit.  Try on at least five styles of boot, male or female and see what works best.  I've been big mountain riding my whole life for about 11 years and I've gone through about six pairs or boots...

    What you're looking for:

You want your boots to be touching the tip of your toe when you stand straight up and too pull back from the front of the boot when you bend your knees.  Make sure you're heel doesn't slip more than 1/4 of an inch when going from heel to toe.  Make sure you're laces are tight, remember, snug.  Style?  Believe me, don't worry about it. When you're screamin' down the mountain no one cares what boots you're wearing...

  2. yes my sister owns mens boots.  you have to be careful however as mens boots are made for a leg with a lower and bigger calf and a wider foot. so be sure to really feel them out if youre buying mens boots.

no they dont have to be combined with mens bindings if they fit the womens bindings. once again, my sister has mixed and matched.

when you buy them if youre in a store then just use the display pair to make sure everything fits. you can also bring in your own gear if you already have some of it

  3. yeah my mom wears my dads sometimes and it doesnt hurt so go for it
