Can xbox users get online with xbox 360 users?

Like with the Xbox live for the 360, can I get on there and play with my friends who have a 360 whereas I have a regular xbox.

  3. Yes, but 360 owners HAVE to be playing an original xbox multiplayer game such as Halo.

    You won't be able to play any games with them..

    I'm not even too sure if you'd be able to play Halo...
