Can xbox360 play blu-ray movies and also...?

What quality are regualar DVD's as in 480, 760 or 1080, and what are bluray discs quality?

What the guy says above me is correct, but to answer your initial question, no, the 360 can not play blu-ray

DVD is standard 480, where blu-ray supports all 480, 720, and 1080p but you'll have to have a HDTV to use it at that setting. Also since blu-ray can hold much much more data than DVD, more video quality can be put on a single disc.

The only HD disc the Xbox 360 can play is the now defunct HD DVD format, and you had to buy the external HD DVD drive. But the 360 alone can only play standard DVDs which are capable of resolutions up to 480P(a step above standard resolution which is 480i)
