Im moving in a couple weeks and our decks are huge! I was wondering if its legal to grill on decks? They are all made of concrete...I live on the top floor but I'm not sure if the roof partly covers our deck or not!

  1. YES, PUT ON THEM STEAK'S.

  2. yes you can. its legal.

  3. You need to check your lease or talk with the complex manager.  Rules vary from place to place.  I've grilled on balconies for years with only one important suggestion - make sure doors and windows near the grill are closed so that the apartment doesn't fill up with smoke and cooking fumes.

  4. Careful........someone in Seattle area about a month ago set the whole apartment house on fire.........think I would take my unit and chain it down on the ground......and do it there...(imo) only........... buy a fireman's hat so you look like your part of the team when they arrive.......an extra police uniform might not be bad either...........I think you can still get badges in cracker jacks also........bye:)

  5. You have to check with the apartment manager.  Some will allow gas but not charcoal.  I've seen many fires started on a balcony by grills.

  6. Agreed with Girl92. One summer when it was far too hot to cook in the kitchen, my family used a hibachi (a kind of grill) to cook out on our porch- and the landlord didn't mind it one bit.

  7. I have seen it done, but be very careful. I know they also sell small grills, so that would be ideal to use since it would be safer.
