  1. In a sense you can.  The body doesn't shut off the vitimin D intake should it exceed so it's possible.

    Abnormal calcium metabolism with symptoms such as nausea, constipation, weakness and bone pain.

    Too much of anything is bad to an extent.


  2. Yes, kind of. Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin (as are A, E, and K), and fat soluble vitamins can build up in your system to toxic levels if you take too much for too long.

    You can also get too much of most minerals as well for similar reasons (they are stored in your system).

    The overdose level is much higher than 800 IU a day.
