Can you PLEASE give me some examples of drama therapy activities for children with special needs?

I am a special education student and i'm asked to create 5 lesson plans about drama therapy. i'm having a hard time coming up with activities for children with autism, emotional and behavioral disorders, and mental retardation. please help me. =(

  1. To begin with you could have simple dress up type activities like the students wear wigs or clothes of different people. This would also help with emotions. Like if they were in a funny mood they could dress up like a clown, in a bad mood they could dress up like a gang member or a gangster.

    You could try getting the students to do a short play about something.

    Masks to identify emotions and people.

    They're the only ones I can think of at the moment


  2. I might have one for you dance-drama making fairy tale stories into dance ,movement,sound.
