  1. Many Christians believe God created evolution.

  2. No. Even some Christians talk about micro evolution, but to me sounds more like adaptation. God created humans in his image. To say God used evolution to bring man about is a slap in his face.

  3. God didn't write the Bible. It would be impossible for most of it to be the "inspired Word of God". And not every answer is in the Bible. The Bible wasn't created to Enlighten, but to control. God didn't lie, man twists the truth to suit man's needs.

  4. Not a true christian, you're either one or the other, God hates lukewarm.

  5. is there a difference

  6. Yes, God created evolution so that all creatures including man can evolve to be suited to their environment when its necessary, to insure the survival of the specie in that habitat...But Got created each specie and gave it it's own uniqueness so that it could survive in and contribute to the environment it lives in but not to change into another specie...

  7. Can you look at this and NOT believe in evolution? http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f193/j...

  8. ya know, it is the intelligent Christian - the one who has studied and understands science - that will believe in evolution.  he or she also understands that the creation story in the Bible is the same creation story that has been borrowed from other ancient religions.  the creation story in the Bible is allegory - not fact.  smart Christians understand that.

  9. You can, many believe God set evolution in place " let the waters bring forth fish after their kind".I do not follow the theory of evolution as God never spoke that about Humans.

  10. Yes -- the Roman Catholic Church, the Church of England and in fact the vast majority of Christians outside the USA already do.

  11. No. Because if you accept evolution then there's no original sin, no fall of man, no need of a Redeemer. If evolution were true, then death was in the world prior to humans, thus proving Romans 5:12 to be untrue.

  12. No, because REAL Christians acknowledge the bible as inerrant truth.

  13. If you can consider evolution to be a tool God has used, I don't see why not.

  14. Of course.  See the Clergy Letter Project, ~11,000 clergy people signed  a letter saying that they accepted biological evolution as the best explanation for the data and observations.

  15. Christian: anyone who thinks Jesus is a son of God.

Evolution: the current best theory for the diversity of species.

I don't see where these two intersect at all. You can easily have both.

Jesus never said that humans and dinosaurs coexisted, did he?

  16. It must be very frustrating for Christians when more and more scientic discoveries are made disproving God's supposed word.

I like science. It makes sense and you don't have to defend it because it supports itself.

  17. More Spiritualist than anything.

But the book ["Bible"] doesn't exactly spell out how long a day is to a god. Or how the stuff [Evolution/Creation] actually went about happening.

It's the rigid religious hardcore extremist that don't even wanna hear that. Which is not a little creepy & scary considering some of the most extreme are still saying the moon landings were fake.

Otherwise science then turns into a very reasonable exchange of:

    "GOD's creation is wonderful!"

    "Uh, there is no god."

    "Agree to disagree."

  18. There's a big difference between Christians and Evolutionists. I'm sure you already know that. And there are also the Evolutionists who believe in Christianity. So what are they? 50/50?

They're both not real Christians and not real Evolutionists.

  19. You could be a Christian and believe in theist evolution. You certainly would be inconsistent though.

  20. Well, you have to overcome this question: "Why would a omnipotent God of Love use billions of years of death, destruction and evolutionary dead ends, when he could have just waved his magic wand and created it all as per literal Genesis?"

    But sure, why not?

  21. no..no...no...

  22. of course

    evolution has been proven

and the church always catches up

look how they adjusted to the

sun being the center of the solar system

  23. Only if you have a little logic and reason.
