  1. Yes, and here's why:

Normally only 1 in 4 eggs is 'chormosomally viable', which is why you've got a 20-25% chance of pregnancy in each cycle. Clomid can increase the number of eggs that get released each cycle.

So let's say you respond to Clomid 50mg really well, you could release 3 or 4 eggs in one go. The chances are that one of these will be viable. But of course, there are also then increased chances that 2 of them are viable and you get twins. Voila!

  2. Its possible, my doctor told me it was a high chance when I start taking 100 mg as of my next cycle that I could have twins. So half the dose should be less a chance lol.

  3. When my doctor first prescribed clomid for me (50mg) she said "Careful now, people get twins off this stuff." But no twins for me, I had to switch to a higher dose of different meds and finally conceived just 1.  It really depends on your body and your particular fertility issues whether or not clomid will be the right treatment for you. Many women conceive just one, some conceive two, very few conceive more than that.

  4. I took Clomid to get pregnant with my daughter and....yes I did get pregnant with twins.  Unfortunately I lost one at 6 weeks, but it does happen!  Good luck to you!

  5. It is possible . . . but Clomid only shows a 10% increased risk of twins and most women who have a successful pregnancy on a clomid cycle do not conceive twins . . .
