Is there a designated place? rules and regulations?

Do they sell cigarettes or do I have to stock up or buy them when I stop at ports?

  1. Yes, but not while you're working.

  2. I thik u can, i saw it in the someone moive :-)

  3. Since the passengers have designated smoking areas, I don't see why the crew wouldn't. Remember, though, the crew quarter's are way belowdecks, and you wouldn't be able to smoke down there.

  4. Depends a lot on the line. There are non-smoking ships like the Carnival Paradise, I remember on that one the Crew Purser stood by the gang way sniffing crewmembers to check if anyone smoked shoreside.

On most you can smoke in designated areas.

On some you can smoke even in your cabins.

I got a written warning from an asshold deputy captain once on Costa Romantica for smoking with one foot on top of the red line that designated the smoking area. 2 days later i saw the b*****d smoking on deck.

On some ships I could smoke in my office.

American companies are a lot more smoke free.
