Can you Sue someone even if you don't have the Receipt but you have E-mails showing proof that have been sent back and forth from you & the person who owes the money talking about it?

  1. Yes small claims it is really easy to sue someone, it would be pretty cut and dry.  


  2. You could probably sue in small claims court.

  3. You can sue anyone for anything.  Having emails with the defendant admitting that he still owes you money helps.  However, he could always claim that you fabricated those emails.  Then you would need to hire a forensic computer expert to prove that they originated from him.  

    Keep in mind, suing someone costs money, even if no lawyers are involved.  You should first decide if the cost of filing fees, court fees, and time are worth whatever funds this person owes you.
