  1. i can't...><

i can forgive, depending what it was. but that's only occasional, and i'm really bad at forgetting in this context.

  2. it's normal to go through wanting revenge, but get it out your system and forgive. the sooner the better. love and hate take energy, it's harder to love with hate in your heart.

  3. I will forgive but i find it harder to forget.

  4. I have always thought that, if you forgive, then you forget.  People who say that they have forgiven but wont forget are not being honest with themselves, in truth, they have actually not forgiven.

  5. in time -

but its human nature to want revenge or to get your own back -

  6. You can forgive but not forget.

  7. You have to do both. But it is also human nature to protect yourself from the same happening again.

Forgiveness isn't about the other person. It speaks LOUDLY abotu who YOU are and what you are capable of.

  8. Many times in our lives we do just that.  From the moment we awake in the morning to when we go to sleep at night we participate in the activity of having to forgive and forget many of the things that we go through all day.  Now if you are talking about some of the more impressionistic things that happen in our life, some things we must forgive but not forget and vice-versa.  It is just part of life.

  9. sometimes depends what the circumstances are x

  10. you maybe be able to forgive but you dont ever forget

  11. judging by all the women that stay with their repeatedly abusive/cheating husbands or boyfriends, it's definitely possible.

I'm not that strong, there are just some things that you can't forgive a person for but i'm not into vengence or justice.  I usaully cut all ties early and move on.  These people don't deserve another thought.

  12. Forgiveness is a wonderful thing, but I'm not sure that you can forget. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!

  13. i never forget maybe forgive though!

  14. i can. :D

  15. Honestly, I don't think you CAN forget at first. Because of the pain, that the person caused.

I will say that even to forgive is a process (for some), Someone can do something, and you can "let it go", quick and easily, and it  might have been so minor that you even FORGET !!!

However, there are the things, that people do, that hurt. I think that it is the motive that makes it EASIER TO FORGIVE.

Some people have caused hurt and didn't know it, they were blinded to that fact. That is why the bible says, if your brother/sister has offended you GO TO THEM. They may not even know they have caused that hurt.

BUT what about those who HURT ON PURPOSE and CONTINUE TO HAVE HATEFUL WAYS.

Well for those folks. YOU STILL FORGIVE THEM. Their ignorance is not worth YOU holding a grudge or seeking revenge.

It is hard not to, BUT YOU ARE THE BIGGER PERSON. So forgivness, is a PROCESS ... FORGETTING is also a PROCESS.

How to do you get through it without seeking reveng, justice and validation- Through the way you treat them. Continue to treat them with BROTHERLY LOVE.

It throws them for a loop. They EXPECT you to treat them unkind, because of what they have done. FLIP THE SCRIPT.

BUT don't be a FOOL, the bible also says, I HAVE YOU NOT TO BE IGNORANT. Don't put yourself in that sitaution again. TO BE HURT.

AND KNOW that everyone have LIFE LEVELS.. and let NO BODY take you down, by hating, being igorant.. or unwillining to FORGIVE. GOD ALLOWS YOU TO FORGET.

    Hope this helped

  16. I believe forgiving and forgetting are 2 very different things, Yes we may be able to find it within ourselves to forgive but we should never forget because you should always remember the certain things that occurred before "what ever you forgave them for" as you may be able to stop it before it happens again.
