Can you add a little naphtha to a full tank of diesel fuel ?

I wondered what would happen if you added say 1 liter of naphtha to a full tank of diesel fuel, what would happen, would it give more power, and most important would it damage the engine in any way, thanks.

naptha is a cleaning fluid.it would clean the injectors. that much would cause no harm.

no. do not. naptha increases octane. diesel fuel doesnt have octane, it has cetane.

If you have to ask will it damage than don't put it in as it could cause the fuel to jell and then you have issues> There are additives for diesel at the auto parts store>

Naphtha is very explosive, and should not be used as motor fuel especially with diesel since diesel is a much less volatile fuel. It will burn a lot hotter and probably burn your valves or pistons. If you're looking for more power, change the computer chip.
