Hi friends!! Actually i tried to find these answers but could not .Would u please answer it if u know these. Thankyou so much

(1)What is the life expentancy rate of male and female of the world in 2007-2008(present)?

(2) Explain physical quality life index.

(3) Do u have anything to say against s*x education?

(4)Why do we use averages?what r its limitations?explain with example.

(5)What do u know about brain in drain and brain drain.

  1. We use avarages to summerize a whole bunch of numbers  for example:

    Instead of saying the measurements that I took were  ( in cm)

    1,2,3,4,5,6,,7,8,9,10

    you just say their avarage is 5.5

    Haveing one number, the avarage makes it a lot easier to compare.


  2. I seen many have posted good answers.  I just want to add to the limitations on averages which I think is lacking.

    An average can't give you a clear picture of the distribution of the life expectancy in the world.

    Averages are easily influence by outliers.  say for example:

    What is the average of: 10 10 10 10 ?  the answer is 10

    now what is the average of 10 10 10 200? the answer is 57.5

    So you see how an outlier (one extreme value) can affect your average considerably in a way where it distorts your data.

    physical quality life index : to measure the quality of life or well-being of a country. The value is the average of three statistics: basic literacy rate, infant mortality, and life expectancy at age one, all equally weighted on a 0 to 100 scale.

    s*x education: it is very important lesson for teenagers. because they dont know breifley about s*x.

  4. 1- Summarize what you see on this table by explaining the country with the high life expectance and the country with the low expectancy and explain why the results are like this.

    (e.g. IT'S AN EXAMPLE NOT A REAL ANSWER =P lol ... Sri Lanka has the highest life expectancy rate because people in sri Lanka reproduce more children to have them working in farms and so on... u get the idea?)

    + If u couldnt find anything for 2008 well it's correct. It's cuz we are in 2008 and people didnt gather data for it until the end of the year =P

    Health: Life expectancy at birth (in years.)

    Family life: Divorce rate (per 1,000 population), converted into index of 1 (lowest divorce rates) to 5 (highest).

    Community life: Dummy variable taking value 1 if country has either high rate of church attendance or trade-union membership; zero otherwise.

    Material well being: GDP per person, at PPP in $.

    Political stability and security: Political stability and security ratings.

    Climate and geography: Latitude, to distinguish between warmer and colder climes.

    Job security: Unemployment rate (%.)

    Political freedom: Average of indexes of political and civil liberties. Scale of 1 (completely free) to 7 (unfree).

    Gender equality: measured using ratio of average male and female earnings.

    3- For me personally, I think s*x education is very important because some parents are shy to teach their children things like that. and teachers help them if they have any questions about it. I have nothing against it.

    4- First of all There are 3 averages:

    MODE (Put the numbers in order and try to see the number that occurs the most)

    MEDIAN (Put the numbers in order and see the middle number and if there is no middle number for example the number is 26 and 6 you divide them up by 2 and the answer u get is the median)

    AND MEAN (Add all the numbers together and divide them by how many numbers there are for example (3 + 1 + 3) divided by 3)

    We use them to summarize our answers in numbers. If the results are numbers then they can be summarized by averages and it makes a lot easier to compare the data together.

    I don't know about limitations sorry.
