1. ballet, tap, and jazz, how many days/hours should I take them for? (I'm 13 and we can pick our schedule in the dance studio)

2. I want a smaller waist I'm 5'5 weigh 120 and my BMI is 20. my doctor said its really but I want like a hourglass figure a small waist how can I get that? (still 13... :])

3. I wanted to take gymanastics too...but idk if ishould because I want to take ballet tap and jazz! so should I?

  1. A figure will come with age and with toning of the abdominal muscles. Most 13 year olds don't have hourglass figures because their hips don't start to widen for a couple more years.

As far as how many classes to take, that depends on your schedule. Are you taking advanced classes in school that would require you to devote extra time to hw or studying? I think for an absolute beginner, you should take at least 2 classes in each kind of dance you're going to do per week. Then as you get better and are more serious about it, you can take more classes. I personally wouldn't take gymnastics just because I like the movement and artistry of dance better than the way gymnasts move. But it's your decision.

  2. I've been dancing for 10 years and I'm 13 as well. i take pointe, ballet, tap,,jazz, lyrical, and gymnastics

    i have a hectic life!

i think you need to talk to the dance teacher at the studio your thinking about taking at. She can help you better than anyone can.

  3. hey you look just like me!!

    any way

i think you should take ballet, tap, and jazz it's more exercise

and it's something you love to do.take each class 2-3 hours every other day that will keep your muscles strong and will also give them a day to rest.

  4. Its never to late but i think that being a gymnast would have to be like 3-4 hours a week, depending on how determined you are.

for tap jazz and ballet i would do an hour each a week, thats what i do but for tap i am 3 hours a week and 1 hour each for jazz and ballet.

another thing, look for a good studio. some are better than others if the price is more than other places the quality is most likelybetter
