How do you write a quote that end in a question mark?

"Where is her cat" (Miller 56)?

OR

"Where is her cat?" (Miller 56).

If a quote is written over more than one page, do you include all page numbers?

"Her cat is over there" (56-57).

Thanks in advance.

  1. "Where is her cat?" (Miller 56.)

And, yes, you do include all of the page numbers.

  2. You would put the question mark inside the quotes, so:

"Where is her cat?" (Miller 56).

If it's over more than one page, you include all the page numbers.  Depending on the style of citation you're using, you might do either "Her cat is over there" (56-57) or "Her cat is over there" (56-7).
