Question:

Can you apply to a college twice?

I recently got a personal application to a college I really want to go to. The thing is, they want a response soon but, they dropped the application fee, essay, and are willing to give me an answer in two weeks. I want to take my ACTs in October and practice a lot more on my essay. So, could I send in this early application to college and if I'm rejected, could I send in another application later?

  1. Why not just apply now? You won't gain anything by waiting, will you? If they're going to give you an answer in two weeks, it's not like you'll gain anything by waiting. If they reject you, you can apply in another academic year.

  2. you could apply next year, of course you're allowed to

  3. For entry into the same year...fall, '09, no.  Once rejected you are rejected.  (college professor)
