  1. I've avoided it and have got away from being served legal papers by an ex employer who was trying to sue me for damages to a company vehicle over 7 years ago. It was a BS charge from them (well at-least partially) and I was expecting that they would be attempting to sue me. Somehow their lawyers tracked down my current address and sent me some threatening letters (which I ignored). Finally they hired someone to come to my apartment and knock on the door to try to serve me papers. When I answered the door they asked "Are you Mr. Smith". I lied and said no and told them he no longer lived here. Lucky for me I was able to evade them because I was young, moved around apartments a lot without my name always on a lease, worked many jobs under the table, and didnt own any property or have any huge assets they could come after. These circumstances made it easy for me to evade them!

  2. no, its 'legal' for a reason,
if its super important they will
track you down & make sure it gets
    to you somehow.

if it was so easy to get away,
every one be doing a runner before
    they come through.

  3. anything is possible
