An Agnostic is one who does not believe there is proof that God exists or don't exist.

I believe in God, but I don't see how the bible is actual proof. Some of the stories seem very unrealistic. I believe in evolution, so I don't understand how the first humans just "appeared".

Where the h**l do dinosaurs come into place anyway?

Yeah, I'm still unsure of my religion. I know I'm not atheist, thats all I know for sure.

  1. Sorry, Maurice, you got it a little wrong.

Agnostics do believe in god, but they don't believe in organized religion

  2. I believe that's a Deist. Dinosaurs were made on the 5th day of creation, but I don't believe those days were 24 hour periods. But before the flood for sure.

  3. Well i don't know because i always thought agnostic was undecided and atheist meant that you thought a God definitely didn't exist (well, obviously under no circumstances can you be sure, but that was what you believed) but then i read somewhere that agnostic just meant that you weren't sure so you could be agnostic and religious or agnostic and an atheist (which i guess i am) so yeah, i think you can but i'm not sure because i've heard different things from different people!!!

why give yourself a title to be tied down with? Be free and just believe.

  5. Agnostics believe that it is impossible to know if there is a god, they don't know if one exists or not.  So believing in what you cannot know would be impossible.  And stupid

  6. Sure.  An agnostic is someone who believes that there may be a God, but there is no way to know for sure, one way or another.

And sorry I don't have an answer for dinosaurs.  They existed of course, we've found fossils.  What happned to them, I don't know!

  7. an agnostic is a person who holds the view that any God is unknown and probably unknowable.

  8. You are agnostic/deist.

I am as well.  I think there is a God, and He was the big bang.  God is not that murderer and bigot in the buy-bull.

I know there is no proof, either way, as to the existence of God.

The dinosaurs lived millions of years ago.  Find a book on anthropology and study it yourself.  The Dinosaurs have no relationship with any deity and there is proof that they did exist MILLIONS of years ago.

  9. Yes.

  10. You sound like an agnostic to me.

Your idea of God doesn't fit with the current popular interpretaiton of it so you are still searching.

Explore diffferent faiths and especially study the history of the Bible (the different ways that it has been changed an interpreted thoughout history.)

by the way -the dinosaurs were "Satan Horses". If you belive in them you will go to h**l! Just kidding.

  11. I think your on the verge of discovering religion is nonsense. Good job!

  12. You may simply be a Deist.

  13. Yes, you can be an agnostic and still believe in God.

Agnostic is admitting that you do not know if there is a God or not, or more specifically that it is unknowable.

I think most agnostics lean toward atheism or theism at least a little bit.

You can believe it is unknowable, but still think there is a God.

You can believe it is unknowable, but still think there isn't a God.

  14. Well think of it this way...for something to evolve there has to have been something to evolve from !  Where did all of the different species have their origins ..?

The evolutionists believe it was a random act ,...that all the complexities of life just happened by chance !  That takes an amazing amount of faith !

I'll take the Bible's account of an all powerful creator rather than  the fairy story being peddled as fact & called evolution any day..

Yes , an agnostic can believe in God but usually they are  unsure just what they believe in....evolution fills a gap !

  15. Riding the fence , Not very comfortable, which way will they fall?

  16. its called agnostic theism.

never use agnosticism as a permanent stance though..

use it as more of a transitional label.

dont be stuck in the middle forever.

  17. Yes, there are theistic agnostics (who believe in God but don't think there is enough evidence to be sure) and atheistic agnostics (who do not believe in God but don't think there is enough evidence to be sure.)

John, believing in what you do not know is neither impossible nor stupid. If you actually examined your beliefs, you would find that you "know" very few of them. You probably believe, for example, that the brakes in your car work before you get in, but you do not know that. If it were impossible to believe anything you didn't know, humans probably would not have enough beliefs to function.
