Can you be a cashier at Kroger at 14?

Someone told me they were hired at 14 as a cashier. I live in GA. I know at Publix, you have to be 16. Thanks!

  1. at 14 i would barely trust you to mop the floor.... why would I hire a 14 y/o when there are tons of applicants that are 18+ ? whats your selling point?


  2. If they were really short on help, then yes.  Otherwise, no.

    Usually cashiers at grocery stores need to be 18.  Anyone under 18 is usually stuck with cart duty.
