  1. Yes, in this country it's OK that everybody can be a journalist if they want to.

  2. YES, BECUASE YOU COULD HAVE YOUR ON BUSINESS OR SOMETHING COOL LYKE THAT.......................................

  3. A journalist is a person who writes about news, the media is one entity who reports on the news and uses journalists to gather and do the reporting.  Today, an individual has many opportunities not previously so available.

1 - Start your own blog and write about what you see, hear and discover.

2 - Use electronic publishing to write your own news paper and pass out the results in a number of ways.

3 - Using today's email and internet tools, most every media outlet is looking for contributions from any source, not just their employees.

4 - Schools, clubs and even businesses encourage and support publishing efforts of all kings.

Being  a journalist has never been easier than it is today.  Just do it.

  4. "The media" is an ambiguious term.  Newspaper, magazine, TV, radio, internet - each are mediums used to convey the news of the day.  You could start your own website, or buy your own radio station, or print your own newspaper, but you'll have a very limited market and even more limited impact.  So, I guess the answer to your question is no.  If you are a journalist you ARE the media.

  5. Sure! Just look what passes for Journalism on television any day of the week. Do you think that these people are really Journalists?
