Can you be a psychologist without doing triple science for GCSE?

I'm taking additional at the moment. Would you have to do biology for a level?

  1. i very much doubt you need to do triple science, as its relativley new and still many schools dont do it (excluding alot of ppl, like anyone who didnt do their GCSEs in the last 5 yrs), as for A-level, i dont know exactly, but most unis should be able to give you an entry requirement to their course, so if they say u need biology then you need it, different unis have different requirements. i just checked prospects and it appears theres loadsa different types of psychologist, so if you go to www.prospects.ac.uk and type in psychologist then you can look at what areas you can work in and see lots of info about each one


  2. I did triple science (7 years ago) and my brother did triple science (13 years ago). It's not a new thing.

    If you wanted to be a psychiatrist, you would be better off with 3 science, but you'd also need a medical degree.

    To be a psychologist (the difference being that you can't prescribe medication) you don't need three sciences. You'd need at least Cs, though.
