  2. Yes you can, I have been a Conductor for 10 years and have worn glasses for about 3 now, the only thing that the company does have to say is bi-focals or reactalight glasses are not allowed.

    If you think about it, they wouldnt be able to operate all their trains otherwise and what if someone develops teh need for glasses later in life? They aren't going to fire them, or you would have a bunch of people running around half blind afraid to go to the eye dr.

    They need people with good eyesight, you cannot be colorblind though.

  10. In the UK, yes.  Just travel by train a few times to see for yourself.

    Drivers can also wear glasses, but in both cases, they must pass an eyesight test as part of the regular medical, which goes with the job.

  11. Shouldn't be a problem normally. But, why do you have to wear them in the first place? If you have a serious problem you may not get past the medical testing stage.
