Can you be arrested in a consulate ?

hello my question is if my fugitive friend for a felony (poss. of drugs) 1377 H&S be arreasted in the consulate or embassy when he goes in to renew his passport?? or would they consider this a petty felony and not bother... there is a warrant for his arrest

    but they can wait outside for him and whilst trying to renew his passport.. they probably will be waiting.

    you need to tell him to get his time over and done with... it WILL catch up to him

  3. all consulates have us law enforcement personnel with arrest powers  there is no such thing as small felony warrant  you mention fugitive   so yes he will be arrested   most likely he has a federal warrant flight to avoid prosecution

  4. When he goes to renew the passport his record will show a warrant for his arrest. Since he does not have diplomatic immunity he will arrested and turned over to the foreign authorities if the charge is for a crime committed there. If renewing in home country he will be arrested and turned over to local authorities.
