Can you be bipolar and have psychotic major depressive episodes(PMD) or is that a totally seperate illness?

Like when you have a manic episodes, and then when you have a depressive episode, can that depressive episode be psychotic?

  3. You could have psychotic features with this mental illness.  Examples would be hallucinations, auditory and visual, delusions when you think something that really isn't true.  Talk with your doc.

  4. Yes, that would be bi polar type 2 which includes psychotic episodes.
