Can you be denied pregnant medicaid for having insurance within the last 12 months?

I no longer have the insurance.

One of the questions on the application asked about this and then asked if you did why you do not have it anymore. I had mine cut off because I could no longer afford it.

Could Medicaid deny me because of this?

Thank you for any help you can offer! If it matters, I am in Arkansas.

  1. It's not very likely. Medicaid will even cover you if you do have insurance, they will just be second party payer, that's why they want to know if you have insurance. Medicaid for pregnant women is one of the easiest things to qualify for, and I don't know of anyone who has been denied for it, unless their income was just outrageous.

  2. I don't think so, but you'd have to call them and ask them since they'd know for sure.

  3. I was just in your situation less than a year ago. I told my case worker that the insurance that was offered to me through work was not affordable to me. If I were to get their family insurance, I wouldn't be able to pay my house payment or put food on the table. They understood, however; I did have to prove that the insurance was super expensive for the family plan. All I wanted was insurance for my daughter and I ended up getting insurance for myself as well. It doesn't hurt to ask, the worst they can do is tell you no.

  4. you are supposed to collect as much as resource as you can by searching the relevant keyword in search engine,if you have good luck there, then your problem solved.however,if you could not find the fitful answer by doing that, here is the resource i prefered.http://insurance.online-frees.info/insur...

  5. from knowing people who work with medicaid they have to give you medicaid if you are pregnant and are not able to afford your own during the pregnancy. hope this helps.
