Can you be emancipated from one parent?

I am 15 soon to be 16 and im looking into being emancipated. I live in Oregon. I live with my mom and am looking to move to california where i used to live and live with my dad. Is it possible to get emancipated from ONE parent?

Only if your mother has sole custody over you.

Get a job! No judge will emancipate you without one. Do you have any idea how much the cost of living is, especially in CA?

No - since you are a minor your father would have to petition the family court and request that he become your primary residential parent - the fact you just want to move - won't give him the necessary grounds if your mother doesn't approve.

emancipation means living completely on your own, no help from any parent, family member or friend.
