Can you be found guilty?

can you be found guilty when your neighbor ask you to open 2 cup with a screwble lid but your fingerprints are on it and what if somthen goes down over there could i be found accountable even though i had nothing to do with it

if they find your fingerprints on that jar and that jar was used in some form of illegal activity...yes

If some other dodgy stuff went down and it didn't involve the jar.....then they shouldn't even know your fingerprints are on the jar.

Hello Tom. It is very rare that prints are used at a crime scene unless it is a major felony. In an average home, hundreds of prints can accumulate and each one has to be checked against available data bases for comparison and this is even supposing that any of these people have their prints on file to begin with.

To answer your specific question however, if your prints were found, it would create enough probably cause for the Police to ask you to come in for general questioning. It is not an accusation, but just to find out who, what, why when and how things happened.
