Can you be g*y and be "christian"?

I just don't understand the mentality of "christians" this notion that love is sin. Now why don't you explain that one to me again.

No, you can't be g*y and be a Christian. What does love got to do with it. It's about sexual immorality, don't you know what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah. They were destroyed because of sexual immorality.

Well I am not a Judge God is. BUT the 613 Laws in Genesis thru Numbers are most off witch still in effect. Read Lev 18 these laws. AND here is some Facts in a male and male relationship the life span of a man with aids in this lifestyle (study done one thousands) they reported an average life span of 39 years, NOW on a Man (heterosexual) average is to be 80. NOW lets look at A man and man Relationship male with no AIDS =41 years , WOW only 3 more years. God designed Man and woman, Doctors in this study along with scientist have agreed that man's back side is not designed for this, and being most all ( men and women same s*x)same s*x relationships don't last long(Devil loves to do this) The r****m is thin, and easy to be ripped and cut open and SORRY no band aids can go there, and once infected or open to be infected the Devil(D+evil=Devil ) can come in (being God's Laws-not suggestions) the protection of God can't help their choices, But does God love them yes, and I don't preach to the people i know either about it...NOTE: no scientific proof has NOR will ever show this is a born thing that happens. ? if the facts shown you something, that God wants the best for us and in Leviticus has shown us that (thru the facts) that if we obey God we will live healthier and happily longer,? witch the devil loses.

actually, to the more moderate christians, its not the act of loving that is the sin, its the very specifically homosexual sexual intercourse. To the liberal christians, there's no problem at all and to conservative christians, homosexuality is bad in all forms.

There are saved believers that struggle with homosexual temptations, the same way there are saved believers that struggle with other sins.

Homosexuality is a sin.  And like all sins, it is forgiven COMPLETELY by the person believing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  When a person believes the Gospel of Jesus Christ, then they are forgiven all sins past, present, and future.  

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is this:  The truth is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal h**l is by believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and you are saved!

Please pray now: "Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and You rose from the dead. Thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die. :)

The Catholic Church believes that you can be a christian and attend church...and be a catholic ..if you are g*y & have a g*y partner...BUT!!! you are expected to live a chase life........since all relationships have a lust & desire of sexual intercourse (self indulgence) ....I can not see this Happening....But then again ...if you LOVE jesus more than yourself...then you should be able to abstain from homosexual intercourse...just as straight people should abstain before marriage....

No. To be a Christian you have to repent. Repent means that you agree with God that sin is sin and that you turn from your sin. You can't be living a homosexual lifestyle and be repenting at the same time.

Homosexual s*x is sin. Let me quote you some Bible verses since you asked.

Jude 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha ... giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

"Giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh." is from the Greek EKPORNUESASAI and APELTHOUSAI OPISO SARKOS HETERAS. The first is a combination of the Greek PORNEIA, which is derivation for our English word “pornography,” and the prefix “EK,” which means “out of.” The second phrase literally means “going after different flesh.” The operative word here is “different,” which is from the Greek HETERAS. In this context it refers to sexual relations that are “different” than normal sexual relations, i.e., homosexual relations.

Ezekiel 16: 49-50 ... this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom...And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

The sodomites commited abomination( Leviticus 18:22 also states that homosexual conduct is an abomination.) The judgement of Sodom occured before the giving of the Law to Moses. Therefore the judgement of homosexual conduct as an abomination can in no way be considered as mere ritual uncleaness, but can only be considered as morally reprehensible.

Similarly, in Judges 19:22-25 where the sons of Belial wanted g*y s*x (again the word is yada'), g*y s*x was called wicked and vile. The same word "know" was used in this passage as in the Genesis passage below. "Know" in the context means to have s*x with.

Before the angels went to Sodom, God said:

Geneis 18:20 ... Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

Gen 19:4But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:

5And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.

Here the men are saying they want g*y s*x. Nothing about rape *yet.*

6And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,

7And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.

Lot said their desire for g*y s*x was "wicked" Lot was a preacher of righteousness who was vexed by their behaviour(2 Peter 2:4-8) Now, the sodomites got mad when Lot preched to them that g*y s*x is "wicked" and thereated to hurt the preacher of righteousness, Lot. They said he had no right to judge them and he better stand aside or they would rape him and the men in his house (they didn't know his guests were angels.)

9And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.

So the sodomites got mad when preacher Lot, vexed with their sin, said "I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly." No mention of hospitality, just g*y s*x that God's preacher said is "wicked." “Sodom” is used as a figure of sexual sin and is referred to as the place of divine judgment over two dozen times in Scripture (cf., Dt 29:23; 32:32; Is 1:9-10; 3:9; 13:19; Jr 23:14; 49:18; 50:40; Lm 4:6; Ez 16:46-56; Am 4:11; Zp 2:9; Mt 10:15; 11:23; Rm 9:29).

Let's look at one more passage about Sodom.

2 Peter 2:6And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

7And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

8(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

The word translate "unlawful" is arsenokoite¯s ar-sen-ok-oy'-tace From G730 and G2845; a sodomite: - abuser of (that defile) self with mankind. So the overwhelming evidence is that the main sin for which Sodom was destroyed is homosexual conduct.

Christians are anti-sin, not anti-g*y. Sin is a matter of choice. God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. Both the Old and New Testament teach that homosexual conduct is an abomination to God.

Leviticus 18:22-30 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination... And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants...[ye] and shall not commit any of these abominations;...(For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;).... That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you... For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people... that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: ...

Christians who adopts a g*y lifestyle will be "cut off from among their people"--lose their salvation.

26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

We see here that homosexual behavior is unnatural and that their affections are called vile, as we saw in the book of Judges. It should be noted that the word translated "unseemly" is to-ay-baw', to-ay-baw'

Feminine active participle of H8581; properly something disgusting (morally), that is, (as noun) an abhorrence; especially idolatry or (concretely) an idol: - abominable (custom, thing), abomination. So we see the apostle Paul called homosexual conduct an abomination, just as the Old Testament does.

1 Cor 6:9Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

The word translated effiminate = homosexual.

1Timothy 1:8But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

9Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

10For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

Paul specifically describes the homosexuality with the Greek word, arsenokoites, a compound word taken from arsenos - male and koiten - intercourse. Together, the word means simply, "male intercourse." In the context of both 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 and 1 Timothy 1:10,11, it is clear Paul is referencing homosexual s*x acts between two men. Even more striking is the reading of Leviticus 20:13 in the LXX, the Greek translation of the OT, the translation Paul would had most certainly been using during his ministry to the gentiles. The LXX has at Leviticus 20:13 the words, arsenos koiten. Paul is basically adapting the two words to make one word describing a behavior condemned by God that excludes the practitioner from the Kingdom of God and from which he or she must be redeemed. We also see that homosexual conduct is said to be contrary to sound doctrine. Therefore the doctrine of any Christian church has to be that homosexual conduct is sin.

There are liberal preachers today preaching a lie and liberal "pastors" who are g*y. Be not decieved. If they reject God's word then reject them.

The kings God called good executed or exiled homosexuals (1King 15:11-12; 22:46.) No one is saying that should be done today, but that is what was done in ancient Israel.

Furthur reflections:

1) Jesus confirmed the natural order of man and wife for sexuality and only acknowledged celibacy as the other alternative.(Mat 19:3-5; 19:10-11)

2)Ephesians 5:21-33; Colossians 3:18-19; 1 Peter 3:1-7; 1 Corinthians 7 gives rules of conduct for Christian family life. No mention of homosexuality is found there.There are no discussions of wife-wife or husband-husband relationships.

In this passage Paul also uses marriage as a picture of the relationship Christ has with his church.

3) The Spirit of God can deliver g**s from their unrighteous behavior.

1 Cor 6:9-10 ... the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind....shall inherit the kingdom of God.

11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Christ said we should keep the law (Matthew 5:17) so "g*y" sexual activity is disobeying Christ (Leviticus 20:13) and therefore un-Christlike.
