Im not really sure what topic this question would fit under but here it is anway:

Are people born inclined to liking a certain 'type' of person.

I, for some reason, am always attracted to redheads. No one in my family that I know of has red hair, but me and my sister both happen to find redheads attractive. My fiance has red hair as well as a few of the past men I've liked. My sister also has dated a few red heads. I just find it interesting we both like them... is that a coincidence or is liking red heads in our blood?

  1. Maybe it's in your blood. There was one time I had a kind of 'belief' like yours. Things changed. I don't know anymore...

    Peace.

  2. i think a person's taste is part of their personality. some believe that one's personality is based entirely on inheritance the same way looks are. others think that it is formed by varying experiences.

if personality is, in some way, derived from inheritance, then yes, you can be genetically inclined to be attracted to certain types of people.

  3. I think that both you and your sister inherited the propensity to seek out uniqueness and freshness, rather than always accepting the norm prescribed by the culture in which you exist.
