  1. I really do not know but as I think about it the only problem I can see would be driving a truck if one was red, green color blind.

  2. In the UK yes you can, they are more lenient now than they were. James uncle would have applied a long time ago when it was different.

  3. My uncle wanted to be a fireman and he wasn't allowed to as he was colourblind. Sorry

  4. It depends on the physical you are required to take. some areas may require it be included others may not. Generally depth, peripheral vision, far/nearsightedness are all checked.

  5. no

  6. yes - fires have other give aways other than the orange colour...........heat being the main one, so as long as you haven't lost your sense of feeling you'll be fine.

  7. Well it use to be that way. However, because of our politically correct society, your colorblindness is considered a disability and is protected under the ADA. So every fire agency in American must grant you at least a test but they don't have to grant you an interview.

Keep in mind there are certain job requirements you must fulfill. Being able to see color is an important factor. I know it might suck to hear this but your chances of getting on with a fire department are slim to none.
