A friend of mine has had her period now for 4 weeks and is on the pill. I would like to know could this be a result of being pregnant and on the pill?

  1. its bcoz of the pill.

i had that xperience when i started taking contraceptive pills, its usually like that, prolongs ur mentrual cycle bcoz ur body is stil adjusting to hormonal changes.

but stil, consider going to ur OB if your bleeding too much.

mine lasted for 2wks,but i was not having a heavy flow.

  2. Just wanna clear something up.. my mother got her period regularly when she was pregnant with me... and she was perfectly fine..and so am I

  3. it means she got pregnant and is having a miscarriage. please, please advise her to see a doctor as soon as she can.

was she taking the pill regularly? did she ever skip?

  4. it sounds like you have a cystic ovary. go to the doctor asap.

  5. Probably not...But is she? Pregnant and on the pill I mean...That could be dangerous, but I wouldn't say that having your period or bleeding continuously for four weeks is the result of such an experiment. It's obviously not natural however and your friend should get a doctor's opinion ASAP. If she is pregnant, and this is happening, the baby could die (for the lack of protection the uterus lining, etc. makes, but that is lost during your period), or worse.

  6. well, if she isn't pregnant and is bleeding for 4 weeks straight....tell her to go to the doctors ASAP because there probably something wrong. OR if she is pregnant and is bleeding....Go to the E.R right away!!!!

Either way.....tell your friend to go to the doctor because if your bleeding for 4 weeks in a row.....theres gotta be something wrong,

  7. Thats a problem ... she needs to seek medical attention. I'm guessing this is 4 weeks either off and on or of light bleeding ?

  8. No because when you're pregnant your ovaries don't send out a new egg because one has already been fertilized... which is why pregnant women don't have periods.
