  1. i love kotchman and we'll miss him. great guy, hope he accomplishes it but itll be tough.

  2. I don't believe  players are eligible for awards unless they play the whole season in the same league.

  3. yes

  4. When it comes to Gold Gloves, anything is possible.

In 1999 Rafael Palmeiro won the Gold Glove at 1B for the AL when he played 28 games at 1B and 135 at DH.

Just found somebody that did it.  In 1964 Vic Power won the Gold Glove in the AL at 1B despite being traded to the Phillies on September 9th.

  5. Yes, Kotchman could still win the Gold Glove, there is no critreia for games played or anything for the Gold Glove, he could actually win it in both leagues.  The same goes for if you meet the criteria for an award like say when Willie McGee won the NL batting title even though he finished the year with the Oakland A's...he had the minimum number of at bats needed to qualify.

  6. Great question!  I was just thinking about the CY Young award last nigth and if a pitcher could win it after being traded to the other league. Thanks for asking and getting the answers for me too!  Since I still need to answer to not get in trouble..lol...Yes it is possible.

  7. i think you can, although it might be a bit tough

kotchman's a heck of a player! definitely gold glove caliber!!

  8. yup

Its your defense, not your impact on the team

  9. I'm sure you could, but it would be very difficult because to win an NL gold glove they use NL statistics and to win an AL gold glove they use AL statistics.  I don't think that has every been accomplished by anyone, but I could be wrong.  I'm pretty sure it's the same for Cy Young awards, Silver Slugger awards and any other league award you could think of.

  10. YES!!
