Can you becoma a helicopter pilot in the army with a hearing aid or a hearing profile?

I can't stay in my current MOS of job. And my hearing profile is a 3 due to noise. firefights explosions is what caused it Noise induced and has stayed the same for the past year.

  1. According to the AR for medical standards, your unaided hearing must not exceed a loss of 25 to 45 decibels in a range of 500 to 6000 hertz. So, it looks like hearing aids are out. The first source below is the medical standard and the second is the citation for the table that shows the limits of permissible hearing loss for aviation duty in the Army.

  3. Best answer:  No man.  It's essential that you pass your ear and eye exams even better than avg.  

    On a side note, maintain your records for discharge for VA purposes.  I'm telling you this for a reason.
