I was wondering if you can become a doctor in a another country, then transfer back to you old country. For example, If I live in the United States, then go study in Europe or India, then come back to the US, will it work? I want to study in Europe or India, but practice in the U.S. What do I have to do?

Any help is great.

  12. It will be a good idea to complete education and residency in your country and then you can go to USA and take the exam/test. As soon as you take the exam it will be better for you because of fresh education.  As most exam/Test are based on what they teach you and not your own experience.

I have seen some well experienced doctors fail the exam because they have experience but forgotten theory. Young doctors fresh out of school will pass the test in first try where experienced doctors have to try again and again.  Many doctors just give up after a while.

where ever you go, they will have some type of testing system and you will need to pass it to work as a doctor. Once you become a doctor in One American State then it just matter of registering and getting licensed in another state.  Many doctors that were unable to get admission in USA have chosen to become a doctor in other countries and then move to USA. Doctors/Nurses are very much in demand in Europe and USA and based on your education you may be able to get permanent residency.  Good Luck
