I got hit by a lady while driving on a ticket in my brother's car and he didn't have insurance. On top of that the plates were expired.

Right away the lady started threatening me. She said that she didn't involve the police because she had a warrant. Later to tell me that her cousin and brother are police and that she is in training.

This just doesn't make any sense to me. Please help!!

  1. No you can't.  Maybe after the case is over.

  2. First off it sounds like she's handing you a line of ****!!!

If she had a warrant out for her she wouldn't have passed stage 1 of the interview process. She would not pass GO and collect $200, but would have gone directly to jail!!!

  3. Call the police,  If she hit you, you have nothing to worry about.

  4. Any law enforcement will run a background check in which a warrant will come up and she'd be arrested.

Now even though she hit you, the fact that you were driving an uninsured car would likely go against you.  You can be held liable for the accident since you should not have been on the road in the first place.
