  1. Not in a UK state secondary school. Independant school can employ people who are not qualified teachers to teach. Have you thought about the open university? You can pay monthly and there is help if you have a low income. check thier web site.

  2. That's funny! I have an art degree and I taught 6th grade special ed the past two years.

  3. A school can be accredited without all of its teachers being certified if it is a private school. I teach art at a private school and I have 2 degrees, just not in teaching or art. I am good at what I do, though, and will probably go ahead and become certified (although no one is insisting that I do it at the moment).

  4. The answer is YES.... however, it depends what grade level. If it is secondary and you have a bachelors degree than you can. You have to have about 24 hrs of upper level art classes though, and be certified to teach. Good Luck

  5. Like with any other type of teacher, of course its possible.  A person would have to have so many hours in the subject, but not necessarily a full fleged art degree....degree must be in something, though!

  6. I really doubt it unless the school is not accredited. When a school is accredited it is saying that all of it's teachers are qualified to teach their subject area and thus have all the proper degrees.
