Harley Davidson is celebrating their 105th anniversary in Milwaukee for the next few days. Fox 6 Milwaukee had a Wisconsin State trooper on t.v. saying that many of the bikes have illegal exhausts on them but if he wrote out a ticket and it went to court it would be his word against their's. I feel sorry for the people living along the busy roads down there because if the police are going to do nothing these people are going have many sleepless nights. There are thousands of bikes expected to arrive!

  1. So they population will be inconvenienced for a week, the effect on the economy will be tremendous. They'll get over a few missed hours of sleep.

  2. Yes, but money talks. Harley has the loudest pipes and are proud of that fact.(Just listen to one coming a mile away.)

105th Anniversary, so 1500 bikers descend upon town and revenue is up, business is great and your unhappy for 3 days? Glad you do not live in Dayton Beach.

I am sorry to say, but I think you lose here.

Even if the police did write everyone a ticket, would they all show up, pay by mail, then come back next year with the same loud pipes?

    Remember it's a HARLEY--BRUMMMMPPPP

  3. Better to have him on the street than in court for every ticket he wrote.

  4. I lived through the 100th and I think that was a bigger deal.  Honestly, the worst noise occurred during the day.  I work downtown and it was really obnoxious  but still bearable.

There won't be many riding through my hood.  The only time we see rich or white people is when they get lost looking for the casino.  So no worries.

Besides that, my 'hood is so noisy anyway - a little more will hardly make a dent in things.

And besides that, they'll be gone soon.

It's kind of exciting in a way.  I don't care about Harleys - I much prefer the sleek lines of a sportbike - but it'll be fun to see all the people.
