  1. woah, i totally agree with ^celeb thin^'s answer! Effing shiat, even after all his success, he's d**n humble...

    I hope he won't change!

GO PHELPS (EVEN THOUGH I AIN'T AMERICAN, i'm rooting for him because of his humilty after all the accomplishment!)

  2. OK Whiz Kid!  Do you think you could do what he has done?  I think not!  Why is that when something incredible like this happens people automatically put it down as being only luck.  Well, with the intense training he has done, and the sacrifices he has made in other ares of his life to attain this level of success, I would say that luck has very little to do with it!  He is a very incredible swimmer.  I am proud of his accomplishments, and more so because he is an American!

It is amazing that these races can be timed down to the hundredths of seconds.

  3. I love him! He's AMAZING!

    edit:

I get two thumbs down for cheerign for Phelps, but everyone else who is their getting fricken thumb ups. There's some trolls.

  4. i was totally ready for cavec's name to come up first, but wow that was intense

thats one of the pros of a 6'8" wingspan :p

    USA!

  5. It's all hard work & skill with a little luck of course!!

    The dude just freakin ROCKS!!

  6. Wow.  Micheal FISH is a good swimmer, but in the butterfly race, he got LUCKY WITH his finish.  If it was about swimming, the Serbian guy swam faster.  Sure the "fish" finished strong, but him out-touching the other dude, when his head was farther back is totally luck.  Again he is a great swimmer, but he got lucky in this race.  I bet you if there was another race between the two, the other guy would swim even faster...

  7. Omg! I was totally flabbergasted! It was amazing!

  8. HE is not lucky he is just the worlds BEST swimmer!

    Go PHELPS!

    Go USA!

  9. yeah his long arms!

i feel so bad for the other guy!

i'm from America and i really want the Americans to win; but in this race, obviously, the Michael Phelps swam slower than Cavec! rawr! but anyway, it's still okay!

  10. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

    LETS GOO PHELPSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  11. I am not sure that I would agree with you and say that he is lucky.  Lucky would be if he could not swim but somehow fell in the pool and beat world records.  What Phelps has done is hard work, dedication, and years of focus.  Swimmers, well good swimmers, usually train 24/7 and that is their life, just like any other Olympic sport.  Well most others.  Yes his arm may be longer then the other guys and maybe some will see it as luck that he hit the pad first, but really the truth is that he reached farther and wanted the medal that much more then the other guy did.

  12. YAY!!! for Michael Phelps. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
