IF this is true, what has happened to our public school system? Is it broken, incompetent, or what?

  1. its incompetent

  2. It's not the first time that they have distorted the truth. And, it won't be the last.

  3. True or not, but we must be blind to the things that are going on around us and do nothing to stop it, YES  I speak about our elected officials that take us for a ride and could care less about us as a country

  4. That'll be those pesky Bush supporters.

  5. Were they not suppose to teach the children the first words of A-B-C?

Why nail them to the cross?

When they were only living in misery with faulty communication system.

    If they can't read.

Then how did they manage to communicate?

Look who did not go to school?

    Luke 6.39-40,41-45,46-49

    What do you think?

  6. I do not think this is true because 76% of America is educated.

  7. I can believe it. In the mid-1980s it was reported that about 20% of adult native-born Americans could not read and write. So, a ten percent rise is not that shocking. One only has to look at some of the tortured use of English on these pages to recognize that a large percentage can't write a sentence either. It is one of the chief reasons why many students entering university studies have to complete a course in remedial English in order to have a needed tool to matriculate.

  8. You only have to look at some of the questions and answers in this programme to realise that some people cannot even write a simple sentence, so that news report could very well be the truth...and it could also be said of some people from the UK as well...not just America.
