He never did that with the yankees and now is the time we need him without Wang and Chamberlain. Ian Kennedy is going to start today and i just pray he has a solid outing because he is going against the Angels.

  1. It's a great story.

  2. he was probably scared of the NYY pressure.

  3. Some people just can't handle the New York pressure. Look at Kenny Rogers. He was awful when the yankees had him in 1997 (5.65 era!). And then, they traded him to Oakland for Scott Brosius (1998 World Series MVP), and he goes 16-9 with an era of 3.18.

Karstens did the same thing in 2006. He was hot during the month of august. I remember he pitched 7 strong innings against the angels and got a win for the yankees. Trust me, it won't last. He doesn't throw fast enough.

  4. it happens. ^^^is right. the new york media can bring out the worst in a pitcher. it happened with brian bannister of the mets too.

  5. yea

but he might just be a player who is not good in a big market he had his fair share of oppurtities to succeed he just didn't work out as a yankee

success to him hope he does good in pittsburgh

  6. WOW,     did he really?       Who cares. PIT isnt gonna go anywhere ever.

  7. Some players are better when they don't have to face the pressure of the media questioning every move you make. He deserves to have a chance to show what he can give to a team. I don't mind that he's doing good for the pirates. The Yankees got 2 great players that will help them make the playoffs.

  8. NO
